First Impressions

Meeting people for the first time can be a great thing, but it can also be a challenge. First meetings are all about making a strong first impression and having positive interactions. You have to have great posture and good eye contact when presenting yourself.

Mike Rankowitz, one of our trip’s major supporters, was one person I met on this trip who was especially meaningful to me. He stood out to me because of our engaging conversation. We not only talked about college but we talked about life in general and the characteristics a successful person should have, such as generosity and honesty. Meeting Mike impacted my life because he encouraged me to do whatever I put my mind to and to always be kind. I greatly appreciate Mike and his wife Sheila for all they have done for the Cap & Gown Project and for others.
