STEM SUMMER INSTITUTE
STEM Summer Institute is the CAP & GOWN Project's summer ACT prep, STEM, and college readiness program. This year's program will feature TWO DESTINCT SESSIONS and will run as follows:
RISING JUNIORS AND SENIORS- June 15th - 19th AND 22nd-24th
Hosted by the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH)
RISING 8th, 9th, AND 10th GRADERS- July 6th - 10th
Hosted by Calhoun Community College (CCC) Huntsville Campus
Spots are limited. Apply by April 10th. If and when you are offered a spot at this year's STEM SI, you will be emailed with more information and a link to confirm your spot!
The STEM Summer Institute is offered FREE of charge to students who complete the program successfully and will include:
-ACT prep in all four tested subject areas (English, math, reading, and science)
-College tours
-College research and preparation (including writing resumes, college application essays, mock interviews, etc.)
-Hands on STEM programming including STEAM collaborative projects (11th/12th), inspiring speakers from local STEM industries, and illuminating industry tours
We are also looking for dedicated, skilled teachers to work with our program. Apply now to join our team.
